Three movie titles, “Toy Story 3”, “The Invisible”, and “Evan Almighty”; and the TV series “Lost” were chosen to compare the time to make a copy of the movie title in MPEG and iPod (MP4) format. Sothink DVD Ripper successfully ripped files for The Invisible and Evan Almighty. Only the first the episodes from the Lost DVD was correctly ripped while the remaining three had English subtitles that could not be removed. It was not able to identify the appropriate title on the DVD for Toy Story 3.

To create a backup file copy, first insert the DVD disc in the optical drive. In Sothink DVD Ripper, select the Open DVD button from the top menu. The proper main title on the DVD is predetermined by the DVD Ripper software. Second, select the format of the output file from the Target profile. Third, press the Rip DVD button to initiate the creation of the backup file. This process is easy to use and produces a backup file of the movie title that has high audio and video quality.

The Target profile section has many predefined output formats that can be selected depending on the device that will play back the file. This allows the user to customize the audio and video properties to according to either the computer or mobile device that will be used to play back the movie title.

The preview window displays the video content of the title. The title can be controlled by play, pause, and stop buttons. The preview window can be used to edit the title with precise start and end times, crop the video image, add effects, and attach a watermark to the video.

The new iPad 2 has been finally unveiled. Although some users complained that it was underwhelming since there was no great changes and it still didn’t add SD or USB slot, you can’t deny that iPad 2 feature an all -new design along with new features.

At the heart of the iPad 2 is a 1GHz dual-core Apple A5 processor, which should provide a boost over the 1GHz single-core Apple A4 in the first iPad. Apple says the A5 is two times faster than the previous processor, while graphics performance is nine times faster.

“The graphics on this thing are wonderful,” said Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who made a surprise appearance at the Wednesday event despite being on medical leave.

The iPad 2 features two built-in cameras, for use with FaceTime video chat and other apps. FaceTime can be used between two iPad 2s, between the iPad 2 and an iPhone or iPod touch, or between an iPad 2 and a Mac using FaceTime for Mac. The iPad 2′s front camera is capable of recording VGA-resolution (640-by-480) video at 30 frames per second with audio. The front camera can also take still photos at 640-by-480. The back camera can record HD video at 720p at 30 frames per second with audio. When in still camera mode, the back camera has a 5X digital zoom.

Overall, the iPad 2 is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, weighing 1.3 pounds and measuring 0.35 inches thick. The original iPad was 1.5 pounds (1.6 pounds for the 3G iPad) and 0.5 inches thick. The iPad 2 is actually thinner than the iPhone 4, which is 0.37 inches thick.

Other new features include a gyroscope, 10 hours of battery life, and a choice between a black or white iPad.

There are six models of the iPad 2.

There are three Wi-Fi only models: a $499 version with 16GB of flash storage; a $599 model with 32GB of flash storage; and a $699 model with 64GB of flash storage.

Apple will offer three 3G-equipped models: a $629 version with 16GB of flash storage; a $729 model with 32GB of flash storage; and a $829 model with 64GB of flash storage. Apple said that the 3G iPad will work with AT&T or Verizon.

Apple says the iPad 2 will be available on March 11 through the online and retail Apple Stores. You can’t place an order for the new tablet until March 11, according to Apple’s online store.
