SourceTec software started soon after the Internet became popular in 1997. We will get into the differences later, but because of a support mixup (see the conclusions section), we ended up reviewing the Free version.

This is our third post concerning user case of Sothink Free Video Converter. If you still remember, we mentioned in last post that user could cut out and convert only a part of video sound track or audio clip. Here I will give you two usage examples:

1.  Convert Video Audio for Ringtones

Extract your favorite snatch of conversation soundtrack from the movie or take the climax in a song and then convert the selected periods into MP3, WAV, WMA, M4A, AAC, AC3, OGG, MKA, FLAC, AIF, and AU (Not all formats are supported by mobile ringtone. Here we listed just for your better knowledge). After conversion, you could transfer the MP3, WAV, AAC file to your mobile and set it as your ringtone.

To accomplish this, we use the “Trim” function under “Edit” on menu.
