Why You Cannot Correctly Play DVD in Sony DVP-SR200P/B DVD Player

“What should I do? My DVD disc can only be played in PC but can’t be correctly played in DVD player. ” Many people may encounter this problem when they intend to play the DVD disc in family DVD player. In most cases, following factors may cause the play failure:

  1. The family DVD player has been out of date and it doesn’t support the file codec.
  2. Poor disc compatibility.
  3. Incorrect format of the disc.
  4. Improper parameter settings before the burning.
  5. ……

Thus, you may change for a new DVD player or a new disc with better compatibility. While, how to set the format and the parameters correctly is still a question. This guide is intended to help you play DVD smoothly in Sony DVP-SR200P/B DVD Player with DVD maker software. However, this method is also suitable for other family DVD players.

Step1. Get the details of Sony DVP-SR200P/B DVD Player

Sony DVP SR200P/B DVD Player is a single-disc, budget DVD player.

Tip: Many people copy the files directly to the DVD discs, which will cause the play failure. The DVD player just supports burnt discs rather than the data discs. You need to burn the videos to the format that DVD player supports before enjoying them on TV.

Step2. Add files you need to burn

Click “Add files” in the tool bar. Multiply files can be added at one time.

Step3. Set the parameters

Click “Settings” at the right panel; “Advanced” settings are also available. You can also add menus to your disc by clicking “DVD Menu”. Dozens of menu templates are provided.

Tip: NTSC standard is usually used in USA, Japan, Canada, Mexico etc, while PAL is used in China (including HongKong area), Middle East and Europe etc.

Step4. Start burning videos

Make sure you have inserted DVD disc before burning. Choose the videos you wish to convert/burn, and click “Burn” button to start the video conversion and burning. When the video conversion and DVD menu creation are completed, it pops up a dialog and starts burning the generated video files to disc.

Step5. Insert the burnt DVD discs to DVD Player

When the DVD discs have been burnt, it’s time for family TV enjoyment. Insert the burnt DVD discs and enjoy watching.

Tip: Please adjust TV output mode if black area appears in TV.
