Step 1 Select Source DVD
Insert the DVD disk into your DVD-ROM, and choose

If you have more than one DVD drive, make sure which one has got the DVD disk and you have selected the right one.
If the DVD movie is stored in the hard drive, choose
.
You should manually specify the DVD folder in the window beneath which show the file system of your computer.
Click "Next" to load the DVD movie.
Step 2 Select Movies to Convert
In the dialog of this step you can see a list of all the movie elements included in the DVD disk.

- Choose movies
Normally, a DVD contains a main movie and several extra movies. And a movie consists of one video, several audios and the related subtitles. You can see the detailed information of a movie in the list, including the movie's duration, the audio and subtitle's language, the format and number of channels of the audio. When you select one movie, the software will select the video track, one audio and the corresponding subtitle for you by default.
Select "None" for "Audio Track" or "Subtitle" to remove the audio or the subtitle of a movie.
Uncheck the "Video Track" and check one "Audio Track", then you can get an AVI formatted audio file. - Create movies separately
Check this selection:
, then the movies will be processed separately. If the box is unchecked, then all the selected movies will be converted and saved as one file.
But if one or more selected movies have no audio or video track, the software will not allow you to join up all the movies into one.
Step 3 Specify the Settings
- Specify the path
Select a path that you want to save the created iPod videos. The program will automatically use the volume label of the DVD as the name of created iPod video. If there are more than one converted files, then each file's name will be differed by an ordinal number which is automatically added by the program.
For example, if the volume label is superman, then the created files should be named as superman_1.mp4, superman_2.mp4 ... - Audio and Video Settings
Specify the audio and video settings for the conversion.
- Audio Settings
[Sample Rate]: 44100/48000 Hz
[Bit rate]: 8 to 320 kbps
[Channels]: Mono/Stereo
[Volume Gain]: (This function is for you to change the volume of audio. ) -5.0 to 30.0db. - Video Settings
[Dimension]: There are 8 different dimension settings. Please make sure which one is suitable for your iPod.
[Bit rate]: 128 to 1500 kbps
[Frame rate]: Change the frame rate from 5 to 30 fps. You can also choose not to change the original frame rate.

- Start conversion
Click "Next" to start conversion.
Step 4 Start Conversion

The program will show the detailed conversion information to you, including the Estimated Overall Time, Time Left, etc.
And there are two operations you can choose to let the program do after the conversion:
- Let the program tell you that the conversion is done by playing a sound.
- Check this option, then when the conversion is done and the created iPod videos are successfully uploaded to your iPod, program will automatically shut down your computer. If your iPod is not connected to PC, the program will shut down the computer just after the conversion, and you can upload the created iPod videos using iTune by yourself.You can cancel the conversion at anytime before it is finished.
- After conversion
When the conversion is finished, the program will show you the folder that you've just set to save the created iPod video. And the program will automatically activate iTune and load the created videos to iPod. Please make sure your iPod is connected to the PC.
