Advanced Settings

Sothink Video Encoder for Adobe Flash supports customizing more Flash video's properties under "Advanced".

Go to tab "Settings", and customize Target profile, General, Video and Audio settings.

Target profile:

Click the arrow and select target profile from the drop down list. There are many options for different Flash video output needs.

For the rest settings below, just click one of the setting items, and then it appears an arrow besides the item waiting for being edited. Some setting items need to be edited by directly inputting words.


General

Output name: Type the name for the output Flash video of the selected file. The default name is as same as the source file.

Trim start: It displays the trim start time of the selected video/audio. When clicking this item, it appears a little button for you to open Trim window.

Trim end: It displays the trim end time of the selected video/audio. When clicking this item, it appears a little button for you to open Trim window.


Video

Video Codec: The gray text here tells the video codec information of the video/audio selected. It cannot be edited.

Dimension: Click the arrow and select the target Flash video dimension from the drop down list.

Bit rate (Kbps): Click the item and it appears an arrow for clicking. Then select target Flash video Bit rate from the drop down list.

Frame rate: Click the arrow and select the target Flash video frame rate from the drop down list.

Zoom Mode: Click the item and it appears an arrow for clicking. Then select a zoom mode from the drop down list. There are three options: "Letterbox", "Pan & Scan" and "Stretch".


Audio

Enable audio: Click the item and it appears an arrow for clicking. Then set whether to enable audio in the output file. There are two options in the drop down list: "Yes" and "No".

Audio Codec: The gray text here tells the audio codec information. This item information cannot be edited.

Bit rate (Kbps): Click the item and it appears an arrow for clicking. Then select the target audio Bit rate from the drop down list.

Sample rate: Click the item and it appears an arrow for clicking. Then select the target audio sample rate from the drop down list.

Channels: Click the item and it appears an arrow for clicking. Then select the audio channel from the drop down list. There are two options: "1 (Mono)" and "2 (Stereo)".
