Profile
Select Target Profile
After you've finished adding files and editing video/audio, it's time to set the target profile.
Go to General Settings or Advanced Settings panel and find "Target profile". Click the combo box to choose an output format from the drop down list. There are many options pre-set for different iPod/iPhone and Apple TV devices' needs.

Profile for Converting Video to iPod/iPhone/Apple TV Video:
For example: When you want to convert video to iPhone format, you may select a profile under "iPhone Video (*mp4)". There are regular MPEG-4 formats for iPhone and TV connecting with iPhone. Also there are H.264 encoded video formats, which offers even higher quality of video.
Note: If you set profile as "MPEG Video for 4:3 TV (*mp4)" or other ones for TV, it needs TV connecting with iPhone for enjoying the output video on the TV. The information of the special connecting wire could be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1454.
Profile for Converting Audio to iPod/iPhone Audio:
When converting audio to iPod/iPhone audio, you may select mp3 profile or m4a profile under "iPod/iPhone Audio (*mp3, *m4a)". The format m4a offers better audio quality on your devices.
Profile for Extracting Audio to iPod/iPhone from Video:
If you set profile as iPod/iPhone Audio one before converting video file, the output file would be iPod/iPhone MP3 or M4A playing the sound in the source video.
Profile for Making iPod/iPhone/Apple TV Video with Audio:
If you set profile as some iPod/iPhone/Apple TV Video one before converting audio file, it will create video with no picture but audio sound. And this kind of output file could be added text or pictures later.
Although every profile is specified the related settings, including the video/audio quality, zoom mode, bit rate, etc, users could still change the default settings and re-set some properties to meet special needs. And then all the settings group together with target output format could be saved as a new profile.
Next time when set target output format and other settings, users can directly select the special profile saved before conveniently. All the new profiles set by users themselves are saved under "Customized Profiles".
Customize Profiles
Save Profile
Click button
to open dialog "Save Profile". Input a name for your customized profile and save it. Then this type of the target output format and other settings is saved under Customized Profiles for your directly selecting next time.
You may also write some description for your customized profile, which can help you to recognize it easily.

Rename Profile
The name of your customized profile can be changed. Select one from Customized Profiles and click button
to give it a new name in the dialog appeared. Then save it.
Delete Profile(s)
Click button
to directly remove the current profile. If you would like to delete more than one profile at one time, click the drop down arrow besides the button and choose "Delete Multiple Profiles" from the pop up list. Then in the dialog "Delete Profiles" appeared, select the profiles you want to remove and click button "Delete". All the customized profiles selected will be gone.

Note: The pre-set profiles in iPhone Video Converter cannot be renamed or deleted.
