DVD Burner Software

Note:

• First, it is necessary to install the software, Sothink DVD Burner Software
• Secondly, make sure your PC has enough free space in a hard disk for saving temporary files

Step 1. Add Files to DVD Burner Software

After download and install DVD Burner Software, first launch the program. Click “Add Files” button on the top tool bar to import the video files you need to burn.

This DVD Burner Software supports burning DVD movie from almost all formats of video, including: AVI, WMV, MKV, DivX, XviD, MPEG, MP4 (MPEG-4), QuickTime Movie (MOV, QT), Real Video (RM, RMVB), 3GP (3GPP, 3GPP2), FLV, H.264/AVC, M2TS, M2T, MTS, etc.



Batch burning is supported. You may switch between Details mode and Thumbnails mode to view the information about your source video(s).

Tip: There is a window on the bottom of the program for previewing the video added in. You can click button “Play” to preview your source video and, if you just want to burn a part of video content into discs, you may realize it with Trim function. Select the video you have added into the program, go to "Edit" - > "Trim" function, and then you can decide which part can be burnt by dragging the left/right slider to set start/end time.

Step 2. Choose Target DVD Disc Size

After you've finished adding files and editing video, it's time to set the recording parameters and burn to disc. Go to General Settings or Advanced Settings panel and do some settings for the disc. As you see the DVD setting area is on the right part of the interface. You can use the default setting directly or do specific setting for your own need. However, first you need to choose the target DVD disc size.

Under Settings panel, which is for general setting, there are three setting items: Target disc size,TV system and Zoom mode. Click the arrow and select the target disc size from the drop down list. There are two options: "DVD-5 (4.7G)" and "DVD-9 (8.5G)".

Tip: In brief, D5 is a single layered DVD disc with nearly 5 GB capacity while D9 is a double layered disc with nearly 9 GB capacity.

As for TV system, there are two standard options: "PAL" and "NTSC". The last setting item is zoom mode, which allows you select "Letterbox", "Pan & Scan" or "Stretch" from its drop down list.



This program will automatically specify the best and suitable movie properties for your converting and burning. However, you may still customize more according to your own needs under panel "Advanced". And if you would like to create DVD menu, you may go to "DVD Menu" and select a menu from the pre-designed templates. All the menu templates could be previewed in the window at the bottom and all customization is up to you.

Step 3. Burn DVD Movie

When the setting finished, click the “Burn” button on the top of the tool bar to finish the burning process.

Make sure the checkbox besides the video files you want to convert and burn has been ticked. If there is none video been ticked, the program prompts when starting conversion or burning. When all the checkboxes are ticked, the video files added in will be converted and burned following the order of the file list.

After several seconds, the movie burning will be finished. And after the program finishes disc structure, you will have your DVD as you want. There are several advanced functions in this smart program, the DVD menu creating for example. Video to DVD burning is just the most basic usage of this super DVD Burner Software. What is DVD?
DVD, also known as Digital Versatile Disc or Digital Video Disc, is an optical disc storage media format, and was invented and developed by TOSHIBA and Time Warner in 1995. Its main uses are video and data storage. DVDs are of the same dimensions as compact discs (CDs), but store more than six times as much data. Variations of the term DVD often indicate the way data is stored on the discs: DVD-ROM (read only memory) has data that can only be read and not written; DVD-R and DVD+R (recordable) can record data only once, and then function as a DVD-ROM; DVD-RW (re-writable), DVD+RW, and DVD-RAM (random access memory) can all record and erase data multiple times. The wavelength used by standard DVD lasers is 650 nm; thus, the light has a red color.
