Note:

• First, it is necessary to install the software, Sothink DVD Movie Maker
• Secondly, make sure your PC has enough free space in a hard disk for saving temporary files

Step 1. Add Video File to DVD Movie Maker

After download and install DVD Movie Maker, first launch the program. And click “Add Files” button on the top tool bar to import the video file you need to convert.



Batch burning is supported. You may switch between Details mode and Thumbnails mode to view the information about your source video(s).

Tip: There is a window on the bottom of the program for previewing the video added in. You can click button “Play” to preview your source video and, if you just want to burn a part of video content into discs, you may realize it with Trim function. Select the video you have added into the program, go to "Edit" - > "Trim" function, and then you can decide which part can be burnt by dragging the left/right slider to set start/end time.

Step 2. Choose Target DVD Disc Size

After you've finished adding files and editing video, it's time to set the recording parameters and burn to disc. Go to General Settings or Advanced Settings panel and do some settings for the disc. As you see the setting area is on the right part of the interface. You can use the default setting directly or do specific setting for your own need. However, first you need to choose the target DVD disc size.

Under Settings panel, which is for general setting, there are three setting items: Target disc size,TV system and Zoom mode. Click the arrow and select the target disc size from the drop down list. There are two options: "DVD-5 (4.7G)" and "DVD-9 (8.5G)".

Tip: In brief, D5 is a single layered DVD disc with nearly 5 GB capacity while D9 is a double layered disc with nearly 9 GB capacity.

As for TV system, there are two standard options: "PAL" and "NTSC". The last setting item is zoom mode, which allows you select "Letterbox", "Pan & Scan" or "Stretch" from its drop down list.



This program will automatically specify the best and suitable movie properties for your converting and burning. However, you may still customize more according to your own needs under panel "Advanced".

Step 3. Burn Video to DVD Movie

After choosing the target disc size and setting some properties for your DVD movie, you may go to Toolbar and click button "Burn" to start burning.

Tip: If you only want to burn some of the video files added in, just tick the checkbox(es) beside(s) the thumbnails of the video files. If there is none video been ticked the checkbox, the program prompts when starting conversion.

After several seconds, the video to DVD conversion will be finished. And after the program finishes disc structure, you will have your DVD as you want.
