Some video sites use RTMP or MMS protocol to stream the video, which are not supported by Sothink Web Video Downloader. Only HTTP protocol is supported currently.

I clicked the New Download button and added the URL of a Web page which contains a video to download, but the downloaded file cannot play in any video player, why?

The downloaded file is a HTML file if you enter the URL of a Web page directly. To download the video, please open the Web page in your browser and let Sothink Web Video Downloader capture it for you.

 Why does Sothink Web Video Downloader always restart the download from the beginning when I try to resume a paused download from YouTube?

 YouTube's servers do not support resuming paused downloads. Do not pause the downloads or shutdown the computer before completion.
